The End...

After an intimate 6-year relationship with Xanga, I am finally calling it quits. I know, it's amazing I've held on this long.

Since I post primarily to keep my parents updated on my ever-so-exciting life (thereby avoiding numerous phone calls) and my parents have now joined Facebook, I figured there's no point in updating both with the same riveting synopsis of my weekend activities. So if you're dying to know how I spent my weekend running errands, come find me on Facebook.

...not all at once now...

a semi-productive weekend...

It was rainy and gloomy this weekend.  That's my excuse for the semi-productive (as opposed to fully productive) weekend.

Saturday morning was spent leisurely reading since I couldn't go running on account of the rain. We met up with Jenny and Andy for lunch at Din Tai Fung (which took almost an hour to get there because Californians DO NOT know how to drive in the sprinkles which they call rain).

They have the BEST xiao long bao's...ever.  We ordered 80...for the four of us.  PLUS 10 sweet bean ones for dessert. Then we went home and made the rabbit pose for us (he's not very cooperative)

Sunday morning was spent at church, my first week as usher at PCC.  Then we went to the newcomer's lunch where I gorged myself with delicious baklava! (forget the hummus and meat) Rushed out to play some football for a couple hours before heading home to do some grocery shopping and laundry.  I know, what an exciting weekend...aren't you jealous...

...and now it's back to work I go...

Westside Football!

I've been attempting to play some flag football again lately in an attempt to stay more active. Getting old sucks...I am sooooo sloooooow now.

Texas girls represent! ...except I wasn't doing a very good job of representing...

THIS guy!  ugh, this QB was ridiculously fast and agile...like a gazelle.  He had me running around in circles for minutes giving him alllllll the time in the world to find an open receiver.  and this is me giving up and walking away. send somebody else in to chase him!

and this is Thomas...watching them fight over possession of the football. haha good times!

Temescula Wineries

Jenny, Thomas and I went to Temescula for wine tasting today.  Man, I am such a light weight now!  We hit up 3 wineries for a total of 18 tastings...I was pretty buzzed after the first stop.

It's too bad we didn't go during harvesting season...all the vines were dried and dead looking.  One vineyard actually still had grapes on the vine but they were all shriveled and nasty looking.

Jenny wanted to take headshots with our new camera...what a good looking bunch! haha

another year

I've decided that the older you get, the less exciting New Year's is...just like birthdays. We went out to Ruth's Chris with Jenny & Joanna for an early NYE dinner at 6pm, then went home and played super smash brothers on the wii until midnight, toasted each other, and returned to smash brothers.  we are so cool! haha

...in fact, I am so uber cool that I injured my left thumb playing smash brothers...seriously.  I think I bruised my thumb from pressing the controller button too hard. haha!
